Wound Mapping

Accurate assessment of wound size and progress is a necessity to measure and improve healing rates. We use digital photoplanimetry method to assess size and categorize the wound, based on which treatment is tailor maid for each patient. Comprehensive diabetic foot assessment and management

Comprehensive Diabetic Foot Assessment and Management

Biothesiometry
  • To asses and categorize neuropathy(loss of sensation) in diabetic foot
Harris Mat
  • For taking foot impression
Podia Scan
  • For indicating high pressure areas in foot which are prone for ulceration
Foot Temperature Measurement
  • To indicate inflammation and high risk foot

Doppler Study with ABI
  • To asses flow in blood vessels in foot and identify ischemia (decreased blood flow)

Foot Deformity Assessment and Correction Surgery
  • Charcot foot, hammer toe, bunion identication and correction surgery
Pedicure
  • For removing callus (hard, thickened skin formed in response to pressure), cracks
  • To prevent corn foot and ingrowing toe nail.
Customized MCP Foot Wear
We provide latest Micro Cellular Polymer (MCP) With Silicon Insole customized footwear for diabetic foot patients
  • Preventive - MCP footwear distributes the pressure uniformly and prevents development of callus, corns and ulcers in patients with diabetic neuropathy.
  • Therapeutic -Special offloading MCP footwear with silicon insoles are used to heal ulcers and correct foot deformity. Total contact casting for diabetic foot ulcer
  • Total contact casting is a method used to treat diabetic foot ulcers by fitting a non-removable cast around the affected leg. The cast is usually made of fiberglass or plaster of paris, lets your ulcer heal by distributing weight and relieving pressure (Very useful technique).

Advanced Wound Management Options

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (VAC Therapy)

Vacuum-assisted closure or Vac Therapy, or negative pressure wound therapy is a advanced technique where negative pressure is applied to wound by special computerised machine. It enhances healing and closure of complicated wounds like diabetic ulcers, bed sores, large wounds following trauma, infection avoiding major surgical procedures.

Platelet Therapy

Platelet therapy involves use of platelet rich plasma (PRP) ,a substance prepared from the patient’s own blood by cutting edge technology.PRP contains concentrated platelets ,abundant in growth factor proteins ,which is vital for tissue repair and regeneration ,thus promoting wound healing.

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cells are raw material cells from which all of the body’s mature cells are made. They have the potential to replace cell tissue that has been damaged and destroyed by the illness. Stem cells are employed in chronic wounds to bring healing.

Laser Therapy

Low level laser therapy (LLLT) is a medical procedure used to speed up wound healing at a cellular level by increasing production of enzymes that initiates cell division. It is painless and sometimes avoids surgery. LLLT is done as day care procedure.

Advanced Newer Dressings Materials

Hydrogels, Isotonic saline gel, cadexomer iodine gel and other viscous substances are being used to help create a moist wound environment, that promotes rapid healing. The addition of silver (Ag) to these substances helps to ensure a sterile environment by preventing infection and promoting healing.

Growth Factor Therapy

Growth factors are substances secreted by the body to stimulate growth and healing. The use of growth factor increases the number of wound-healing cells, resulting in faster wound healing. Growth factors are available in the form of gels that are applied directly to the wound. We use PDGF and EGF Growth factors for diabetic foot ulcers and chronic, non-healing wounds.

Collagen Dressing for Burns

Bovine based collagen membrane acts as a skin substitute for treating burns in cost effective way. Collagen are impermeable to bacteria, and create the most suitable environment to promote burn wound healing. Collagen dressings have other advantages over conventional dressings in terms of ease of application and being natural, non-immunogenic, non-pyrogenic, hypo-allergenic, and pain-free.

Post burns scar and other unsightly scar management

Aberrant wound healing results in unsightly scar, hypertrophic scar, and keloid formation, causing functional and cosmetic deformities, discomfort, and psychological stress. In our clinic we use silicone gel, Silicone elastomer sheeting prevent the development of and improve the appearance and feel of unsightly scar hypertrophic and keloid scars. The other treatment options done in our centre are, intralesional corticosteroid injections, pressure therapy, laser treatment and surgical scar correction.

Skin grafting and flap surgery

Skin grafting and flap surgery are done in our centre for cover of non-healing wounds following trauma, infection, bed sores and diabetic ulcers.

Compression stockings for venous ulcer management

Varicose veins caused by the defective function of valves (prevents the backflow of blood) in veins, leads to pooling of blood in the leg, giving rise to a condition known as venous hypertension, that produces non-healing venous leg ulcers. Compression stockings can exert pressure around the circumference of the legs, reduce venous hypertension by forcing the venous blood flow from the leg which promotes healing of venous ulcers.

Orthotic and prosthetic appliances

Physical disabilities restrict the individual to perform activities as a productive member of the family and Society. Orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) is the evaluation, fabrication, and custom fitting of artificial limbs and orthopedic braces. Our centre has a qualified orthotist and prosthetist to design, fabricate and fit suitable and appropriate prosthetics and orthotics devices for persons with disabilities and add value to their life.

Home visits

We offer home visits for patients for whom regular dressings are required for longer duration in conditions like diabetic foot ulcers, bed sores, non-healing ulcers.
